Mission Statement

At KIND Forest School, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and free to be themselves. As an alternative to the public school system, we offer a play-based, nature-centered environment that supports children’s growth—physically, emotionally, creatively, intellectually, and socially—at their own pace. We celebrate each child’s individuality, encourage confidence and self-expression, and work in partnership with families through open communication and collaboration to create the best possible learning experience.

Vision Statement

KIND Forest School envisions a world where children are empowered to grow into confident, compassionate, and curious individuals through meaningful connections with nature, play, and community. We strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning while nurturing resilient children who feel valued, capable, and deeply connected to the world around them.

Forest School is a model that’s been popular around the world for decades. It’s based on child-led collaborative learning and daily access to their familiar natural environment. It’s about getting kids outside to learn and explore with all their senses, using their strengths and interests to engage with areas of learning, and allowing them to progress at
their own pace and helping them to see
their potential for growth.
